Supporter,
This is big.
Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch and House Ways & Means Committee Chairman Paul Ryan just sent a letter to the Treasury Department questioning their legal authority to implement the OECD’s global tax grab!
The letter is a great start, but much more still needs to be done to draw attention to how the OECD’s work on base erosion and profit shifting (BEPS) will eliminate essential privacy protections and undermine tax competition.
To that end, have you seen our recent work on BEPS?
Earlier this week we released a paper called, “Making Sense of BEPS: The Latest OECD Assault on Tax Competition.”
And for a digest of the issue, this great blog post from Dan Mitchell is a must read.
We’re going to keep monitoring and exposing the work of these unaccountable global tax collectors, and have much more to come in the near future, so stay tuned!
Sincerely,
Andrew F. Quinlan,
